Nurturing the Nurturer: Half Day Retreat on June 14

Join us for a half-day, mind-body integrative retreat designed to hold and support mothers amongst nature and community.

Led by a somatic psychologist & trained yoga teacher and a reproductive psychologist, a day designed to help nurturers slow down, reconnect, restore and receive nourishment in a beautiful natural setting.

This five-hour immersion will include practices like gentle yoga, ritual and ceremony, guided journaling, self-compassion practice, mindful movement, community connection and self-guided free time to rest, connect, walk the trails, or simply be in nature. Our intention is for this to be a place where each nurturer can feel held, seen, and take care of their nervous system and spirit.

Where to Find Us: The Trees

As written on their website:

“The Trees is a 50-acre wooded property with a beautiful mid-century modern home nestled amidst the rolling hills just outside Durham, NC.

The Trees is a community resource for groups and organizations seeking to build community, experience contemplation, and connect to creation.

Given to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church as a gift, this sacred home and land are open for community gathering, contemplation and rest.

We welcome all people, regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social or economic class, nationality or citizenship. We honor the land, the trees, the water and the creatures that live here as sacred. We honor the ancestors who walked these woods before us. We hold gratitude for Jacqueline Harris, who entrusted care of this land to St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.”
